Good evening. Today we remember Laura Lynn Yeager, a cherished member of the Oklahoma City community, who passed away peacefully in Guthrie, Oklahoma on April 12, 2025, due to heart complications. Born on February 2, 1971, Laura's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, kindness, and humor.
Laura spent her early years in Oklahoma City, where her vibrant personality and infectious laugh left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She later embarked on a career as a security guard, demonstrating her commitment to the safety and well-being of others. Although her career was cut short due to health issues, Laura's spirit remained indomitable.
A loving mother and grandmother, Laura's greatest joy was found in the laughter and achievements of her children, Amanda Robison, Candice Yeager, Ashleigh Jones, and Timothy Causey. Her grandchildren, Jordan Dobbins, Nevaeh Robison, Juan Franco Jr., Angelina Franco, Julieta Yeager, Christopher Yeager, and Jered Lewellen brought immense happiness into her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Laura is survived by her devoted siblings, Robert Yeager Jr. and Kristy Kellogg-Ferris, as well as her sister-in-law, Billie Jean Yeager. Her nephews, Daniel Yeager and Mathew Cole, will fondly remember their aunt's guidance and warmth. Her aunt, Carol Childers, also survives her, as does her life companion, Thomas Martin Munger, who stood by her side with unwavering support and love.
Laura's interests were a reflection of her generous and sociable nature. She was an active member of her church, where she found solace and community. Laura cherished quality time with family and friends, and her love for online shopping was well-known, often leading to shared moments of excitement and joy as packages arrived.
Those who knew Laura would describe her as loving, kind, and funny. Her laughter was a beacon of light, and her kindness touched the hearts of many. Her sense of humor was a source of delight and a reminder to all that joy can be found in the everyday moments.
As the American poet Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Laura embodied this sentiment, leaving a legacy of warmth and love that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Laura Lynn Yeager's life was one of connection, love, and laughter. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who carry her memory in their hearts.
