Laurel Jeanne Bonine was born December 30, 1949, and died suddenly and unexpectedly on July 30, 2024. She was the oldest daughter of Jeanne E. and Orville W. Bonine. Laurel and her family moved to Afton from Lauderdale, MN in 1961. At that time, she became a member of St Peter Lutheran Church, was confirmed on March 22, 1964, and enjoyed her time in Walther League. Following graduation from Stillwater High School she attended Mankato State University. Laurel was preceded in death by both parents and her sister Holly. She is survived by brothers Paul, Scott (Joan), and Kevin (Pam) along with a good number of nephews & nieces and an assortment of grand nieces and nephews. A Service of Praise and Celebration is to be held at St Peter Lutheran in Afton on August 15. Visitation at 10:30 with the service at 11:00 followed by lunch.
