Laurel E. "Zeb" Pike

.Laurel E. "Zeb" Pike, 69, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 16, 1955, in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Altie (Singleton) Pike.
Zeb worked as a welder for Pi-Rod in Plymouth, which later became Valmont, until his retirement. He was a dedicated member of both the NRA and the NHRA and had a deep passion for working on cars and shooting guns. Known as the man, the myth, and the legend, Zeb was a unique character who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. Above all, he cherished his family, finding the most fulfillment in spending time with his grandchildren. His love for them, and his family as a whole, was unmatched.
Zeb had a passion for reading and movies, always keeping up with his interests. On July 15, 1978, he married Teena Dowd in Knox, and together they built a life full of love and shared memories.
He is survived by his wife, Teena of Leiters Ford; two children, Crystal (Doyle) Keller of Culver and Scott (Jena Manns) of Leiters Ford; five grandchildren, Ashton (Lindsey) Keller, Weston (Taylor Olivarez) Keller, Skyler Pike, Avery Keller, and Teagan Pike; three sisters; and his mother-in-law, Rachel Dowd of Culver. He is preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law Wilbur "Ray" Dowd; and two sisters-in-law Brenda Greer and Debra Dowd.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM CST on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Thursday, January 30, 2025, also at the funeral home, with additional visitation an hour before the service. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
Zeb will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
