In Memory of Lauren Marie Feeken
3/24/1955-9/10/2025
Lauren Feeken was born March 24th 1955 in Alexandria, MN, to Frank and Mary (Splittgerber) Swenson. She graduated in 1973 from Jefferson Sr High in Alexandria.
Lauren married Larry Feeken in 1976, and the couple was blessed with two sons, Jason and Lance. She stayed at home with the boys until they were in school. She started her serving career at Osterbergs Café in Alexandria, then Lees Chop Suey, Holiday Inn, Arrowood and the Coffee Pot. Throughout her lifetime career as a waitress, she met many people and touched many lives. She made many lifetime friends, she had a love for people and a bright personality that could light up a room, and lift people’s spirits. Lauren enjoyed a lifetime of fishing (mostly from shore). Back in the day you could always see her wading in the water at Lake Burgen, Lake Victoria, and Lake Le Homme Dieu, with her stringer tied to a belt loop, and pocket full of worms. She also enjoyed playing softball, giving back to nature by planting miles of trees and spending time with her family and friends. She had a special love for her six grandchildren. Whom she always took on special little adventures.
Lauren passed away on Wednesday September 10th at the age of 70 years old. She is survived by her sons, Jason (Nicole) Feeken of Garfield. Lance (Amy) Feeken of Glenwood. Six grandchildren, Dalton, Denver, Michaela, Haley, Shelby and Gage. Five great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Rowan, Kaia, Levi and Michael. Sister Diane (Jay) Pantze. Brother Bob (Lori) Swenson. Nephew Alex (Jodi) Swenson. Great nieces and nephews, Logan, Landon, Nina, and Peyton. She is preceded in death by her father Frank, mother Mary, sister Genevieve, and several aunts and uncles.
