Lauren Langmaid Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pensacola Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home - Pensacola on Jun. 11, 2024.
Lauren Langmaid, 20, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on May 29th, 2024, unexpectedly. Lauren was born in May of 2004 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL to Carly Money and Chris Langmaid.
Lauren graduated high school with honors from DeKalb High School in Illinois. She was currently attending The University of West Florida where she was pursuing her passion of science in the field of Chemical Biology in part by her full academic scholarship. Her love for science started at the very young age of four when she used to help her mom study flash cards of scientific names and terminology deriving from their Latin origins. Lauren was truly a beautiful, and unique gem on this rock we call earth. Her bright blue eyes were only outshined by her genuine and loving smile. Lauren will be in our thoughts and our memories every day to come.
Lauren is survived by her mother, Carly Money, with husband Jack Money. Her Father, Chris Langmaid, with wife Kourtney Langmaid. Her Grandparents, Padraic and Vicky McCarthy (Grandma and Pa), Evelyn Langmaid (Nana), Jamie Mills and Jim Nichols (Nanny and Jimbo), and Rob and Carol Brown (Grandpa and Grandma Brown). Her brothers, Lance Langmaid, and Liam Langmaid. Her sister Luci Langmaid.
Lauren was preceded in death by her uncle Tim McCarthy, her grandfather's Charles Uherek and Gary Langmaid. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Mike and Elizabeth Uherek, Sean and Sandra McCarthy, Kevin and Kimberly McCarthy, Ken and Jenny McCarthy, Amy Uherek, Jim and Lucy Baker-McCarthy, Kerri Brown, Neil and Kelly Jardeleza, Kenny and Caitlyn Brown and many cousins and family to whom she loved so much. Her memory will be cherished by all.
Our families will be holding a private memorial and service here in Pensacola, Florida. In lieu of flowers, our family is accepting any amount of support towards her beautiful memorial bench that will be placed at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, by their pond, accessible for all who wish to visit and reflect on the life and memory of Lauren Langmaid.
