Laurie Ann Silva
September 30, 1963 – April 15, 2025
Lowell – Laurie Ann Silva, 61, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital. She was the cherished longtime companion of Patrick Chandler, with whom she shared her life and love since 1988.
Born in Lowell on September 30, 1963, Laurie was the daughter of the late Peter Silva and the late Ann (Evans) Silva. She grew up in the city she loved, was educated in local schools, and attended Greater Lowell Technical High School.
Laurie had a magnetic presence and a voice that could light up any room. Karaoke wasn't just a hobby-it was her passion. She and Pat ran All Friends Entertainment for over 30 years, becoming a beloved fixture in the Lowell nightlife scene. Together, they brought joy to countless gatherings and venues including the Blue Shamrock, the American Legion, and Joker's. Whether you knew her from the mic or the dance floor, Laurie had a way of making everyone feel like a friend.
She also had a deep love for the beach, where she found peace and happiness. In her younger years, she worked at several local shops and stores, always with a smile and kind word for those around her.
Laurie was a devoted mother to her children, Angela, David, Andrew, and Corey, and a proud grandmother to Haley, Autumn, Summer, Logan, Mason, and Jazz. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Shaun and Jennifer, who held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her siblings: Peter G. Silva and his wife Adrienne of Lee, NH; Christine A. Hannigan and her husband David A. of Methuen; and Christopher D. Silva and his wife Gretchen E. of Sanford, ME. Laurie also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, including her beloved Aunt Theana and cousin Manny Silva, as well as several close friends who were like family.
She was predeceased by her sister, Joann Lobao, and her brother, Howard Silva.
You are welcome to attend her calling hours on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 01852.
