Lavonne “Bonnie” Nadine Hulbert, 94, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 8, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Bonnie was born on November 20, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, to John Briholtz and Olga (Maurer) Miller. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. After raising her children, she attended Kirkwood Community College and Mount Mercy College, earning a degree in social work. Bonnie worked at Buhler’s, Rockwell Collins, and later as a social worker for assisted living residents. After nine years together, she married Donald Hulbert on December 15, 1990, in Cedar Rapids, and they shared 44 years together.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Don Hulbert of Cedar Rapids; children, John Norris of Anamosa, Iowa, and Michael (Amy) Beason of Marion, Iowa; three stepchildren, Greg (Linda) Hulbert of Cedar Rapids, Cathy (John) Gretlein of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Debra (Ken) White of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Danny Norris.
