Lawrence Eugene Diorio

Lawrence Eugene Diorio, born on April 24, 1943, in Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the age of 82.

Lawrence, known for his dedication and hard work, served as an IT manager for Lorillard for many years, where he was respected by colleagues and peers alike. His commitment to his profession was matched only by his love for his country, having proudly served in the United States Navy.

Outside of his professional life, Lawrence found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer who cherished the time spent on the green. At home, he enjoyed taking care of his birds, finding peace in their presence. In quieter moments, he could often be found watching "Forensic Files," a show he thoroughly enjoyed.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Elvira Diorio, his older brother Bobby Diorio, and two sisters, Norma and Diane. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his two children, Bonnie and her husband Edwin, and Larry Jr.; his granddaughters, Amberrose and Kristy; and several great-grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held. Lawrence will be remembered fondly by those who knew him and loved him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
