Gail Patricia Reynolds Lancaster

December 29, 1940 - November 14, 2025

Gail Lancaster left this earth to be with Jesus on Friday November 14, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her daughter Beth's house surrounded by the love of her family.

Gail was born in High Point on December 29, 1940 to the late Doris Irene Leonard Reynolds and Edward Wilson Reynolds, Jr. She attended Mars Hill College and East Carolina University graduating with a degree in Education. Gail retired from the Guilford County School System after teaching at Sumner Elementary School for 31 years. Her commitment to education and her students made an impact on an untold number of students throughout the years.

Gail enjoyed time at North Myrtle Beach where she and her husband maintained a second home for 30 years. She was also an avid football fan rooting for her beloved Washington Commanders (AKA Washington Redskins) team throughout her lifetime. In addition to her love of football, she enjoyed watching ACC basketball each season and cheering for her Duke Blue Devils. Gail especially loved to travel throughout the United States to locations across the country where she could immerse herself in the history of different regions. She also enjoyed watching the Fox News Network in her later years and was always ready for a good discussion on the current political environment.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents and her son Craig Reynolds. She will be remembered with love by her husband of 60 years, Lloyd Lancaster, daughter Beth Lancaster, daughter Sherry Farster, and granddaughter Ashley Easley and her husband Mike. She was blessed to welcome two great grandsons, Carter and Finley Easley and enjoyed nothing more than continuing her role as Nana to both boys.

There are no plans for a service at this time. In lieu of flowers the family would request that donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
