Lawrence "Larry" Doriguzzi, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024, at the age of 89 in Albany, NY. Born on July 13, 1935, in Conifer, NY, to the late Evo and Mildred (Gensel) Doriguzzi, Larry lived a life marked by dedication, love, and an unwavering work ethic.
Larry's journey began alongside his late sister Marlene Millington (Ronald) and brother Dean Doriguzzi in the town of his birth, where he was educated and grew into a man of many talents. In 1954, he married the love of his life, Joan (Zinssar) Doriguzzi, and together they built a family that would become his greatest pride and joy. Their loving union brought forth five wonderful children: Denise Obercon, Cheryl Dagostino (Vincenzo), Jamie Doriguzzi - Lichorat (Paul), Lawrence "Larry" Doriguzzi (Lisa Gerardi), and Joanne Lombardi (Angelo). The family continued to grow, blessing Larry and Joan with an abundance of grandchildren: Cristina (Ben), Marisa (Nick), Victoria (Paul), Nicole, Michael, Patricia (Joel), Anthony, Anna (Richard), Edward, Madeline, Angelo (Erin), Joey (Kelly), and great-grandchildren Taylor, Karl, Noa, Eliana, Peyton, Richard, Elynn, Addisyn, Angelo, Joey, Madelyn, Thomas, Lily, Johnny, Luke, and Mary Clare.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Larry will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 10 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany Street, Schenectady, NY 12304.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Kelly for the wonderful loving care Larry received over the past several months.
