Lawrence "Larry" Grasso of Queens, NY passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in the NYU Langone Medical Center, New York, NY. He was 74.
Born in Manhattan to the late John and Josephine (Tuzzeo) Grasso, Larry was a lifelong resident of New York City.
He was formerly employed as a maintenance employee with the City of New York Housing Authority and also worked at Milano's Bar for many years in Manhattan.
Larry served in the Navy for 4 years on the aircraft carrier USS Kennedy as an airplane mechanic. He had fond memories of his time served.
Larry was also very artistic and enjoyed pointillism art, drawing with ink, making models and working with his hands, and fixing things.
He was the dear brother of Linda Manza and husband Ralph, and the late Rita Grasso; beloved uncle of Matthew Manza, Jacki Anastasio and husband Anthony; cherished grand uncle of Jack and George Anastasio.
The family will receive their friends at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, PA 18938 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 11:45 am – 12:45 pm, with a mass to begin at 12:45 pm.
Services with military honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 2:30 pm.

"A veteran has passed away today." Lawrence, you are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
