Lawrence Edward Hall, Jr "Biggin" age 48, of the Sugar Run Community, Jonesville, VA passed away early Tuesday morning while at the Bristol Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 23, 1976 in Middlesboro, KY a son of the late Lawrence Edward Hall, Sr and AnnaLee Langley Hall.
He was a graduate of Lee High School and had been employed by Triple J Mowing Company. He was an avid hunter especially enjoying turkey hunting, was a great story teller, mostly about hunting. Known as the "gentle giant", he enjoyed being around children and advocating for youth hunting.
Survivors include 4 sisters; Ethel Guey (Momar), Margaret Durst (Bill), Pat Hall and Bonita McIntyre (David)
2 brothers; Travis Moore (Nikki) and Glen Hall (Dianna)
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family along with many, many friends too numerous to list also survive.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 11am until 1pm at Powell Valley Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steve Neff officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his parents. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Special Thanks are given to the staff of Ridgecrest Health and Rehabilitation, Duffield, VA where in a short time there he enjoyed being with people he knew. Also, the care and concern given by Travis and Nikki over the past few years will never be forgotten.
