Lawrence Ward Hart of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on April 2, 1949, to Frank Hart and Joy Delight (Ward) Hart.
After Lawrence graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1967, he went on to study music and law at Oklahoma University, Oklahoma Baptist University, and Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. He met Karen Hilborn in 1990, and they were married in 1992. Lawrence was a jack-of-all-trades, including being a park ranger at Thunderbird Lake. He retired in 2023.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Joy Hart, and his brother, Gary Hart.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Karen Ann Hart, and his sister-in-law, Patricia Hart.
An informal memorial service be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, 37496 New Hope Rd., Tecumseh, Oklahoma 74873.
