Moultrie, Georgia – Lawrence “Larry” George Bertram, Jr., 85, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, while surrounded by his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, August 8, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Reverend Paul O’Connell celebrating. Interment will be at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Tristan Sealy, Ron Hester, Allen Massey, Ken DeMott, Brandon Massey and Kevin Tucker. Honorary casketbearers will be Shannon Dickerson, Mike Rhodes, Bo Flowers, Wilton Dunn and Cal Jones.
Born August 15, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Lawrence George Bertram, Sr. and the late Beatrice Welch Bertram.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Leona Clara Koslowski Bertram; sons, Allen Roy Bertram and Keith Peter Bertram; sisters, Shirley Bertram Reyna, Theresa Bertram Proulx, Dolores Bertram Dabrowski and Elaine Bertram; sister-in-law, Beverly Sellers.
After receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps, he owned and operated Larry’s Bait and Tackle. He was also a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include his son; Leonard Patrick Bertram and wife, Patricia; daughter, Dawn Marie Conger and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Kristen Marie Conger Dekle and husband, Ross, Shana Renee Hester and husband, Ron, Austin Terrell Dorminey, Brooke Renee Conger Sealy and husband, Tristan; great-grandchildren, Anna Kate Dekle, Brady Dekle, Paisley Hester, Piper Hester, Caroline Sealy, Cecilia Sealy; sisters, Esther Bertram Bunarek and husband, John, Sharon Bertram Andrle and husband, Joe; brother, Art Bertram and wife, Shirley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
The family will be gathering at the home of Brooke and Tristan Sealy.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
