Doerun, Georgia – Sandra Eugenia Davis Adams, 82, of Doerun, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at First Commerce Center for Compassionate Care in Tallahassee, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, Doerun, Georgia, with the Reverend Charlie Tucker officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Jimmy Adams, Jeff Adams, Ricky Summerlin, Keith Summerlin, Jon Adams and Jim Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Davis, Shelvie Summerlin and Alexander Hunter.
Born January 21, 1943, in Brunswick, Georgia, she was the middle child of the late Jimmy Quinton Davis and the late Ella Mae Oneal Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Julia Dealvia Barrentine Adams and James F. Adams; sister-in-law, Trudy Davis; and her best friend, Sue Smith.
She worked as a school secretary for over twenty-two years at Culbertson Elementary School, Albany Junior High School and Highland Elementary School. A dedicated and faithful member at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, collecting antiques and spending time with loved ones.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, James Adams; sons, James “Jim” Adams, Jr. and wife, Yolanda, Mike Adams and Jeffrey Adams and wife, Tracy; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Davis; sister, Barbara Summerlin and husband, Shelvie; several nieces, nephews and other extended family; as well as her fur-baby, Sissy Lou.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
