Lawrence Anthony Pierceall, age 78 years of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 2, 2025. He was born on June 23, 1947, in Addison the son of Thomas "Tony" and Ethel Josephine (Galarneau) Pierceall.
Lawrence graduated from Addison High School in 1965. He went to work at Merillat Industries in Adrian right out of high school and retired after 44 years when the shop closed their doors. He was a dedicated and loyal employee. Lawrence loved racing motorcycles during his younger years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and ice fishing with friends and family, Sunday Dinners at his parents house before their passing, going to the Gospel Barn on Saturday nights and he was a big fan of the Detroit Lions and the Michigan State Spartans.
Lawrence married Helen B. Andersen on October 3, 1998. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2025. He was an active member of the Hudson First Baptist Church. Lawrence was a handyman and enjoyed helping others. He was a true servant to God. Lawrence was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Lawrence's memory are his two daughters, Cassie (Nate) Hall and Artie (Jason) Friedrich, three step-daughters, Ann (John) Furlong, Paula Furlong and Renea (Eric) Stevick, three grandchildren, Madison, Micaela and Jaeda, three step-grandchildren, James, Jennifer and Brie, three great- grandchildren, Rylah, Renley and Aria, one step-great-grandchild, Logan, nieces and great nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother Thomas Pierceall.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Hudson with Pastor John Rath officiating with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hudson.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church, Hudson or The Gospel Barn, Bankers, MI. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.brownvanhemert.com. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home, Hudson.
