Lawrence Raysor was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Otis and Clary Raysor. He was born in the Bronx, NY on July 15, 1949, and raised in Queens NY with his 5 older siblings: Mr. Otis Raysor, Jr, Mr. Michael Raysor, Ms. Christine Baker, Mr. Thomas Raysor, preceded in death Evelyn Odessa Raysor.
Lawrence Raysor served our country in the United States Air Force. After 20 honorable years of service, he retired in 1988 as a Master Sergeant. Lawrence retired from Naval Avionics and Chrysler Corporation in 2010. He was also a CBTU union board member.
Lawrence was loved by EVERYONE who knew him, his love languages are humor/laughter and food. He was a master of dad jokes, and sometimes some inappropriate ones. If you were ever in his presence, you were sure to be laughing and well feed.
After Lawrence's diagnosis in August 2024, he faced a harsh and very brief battle with cancer which claimed his life on September 28, 2024.
He leaves to mourn his wife Evelyn Dilworth-Raysor. His 3 children Candice, Lawrence Jr, and Reginald Raysor, his 3 stepchildren, Luther (Shannon) Triplett, Anthony (Jennifer) Triplett and Tamika (Paul) Hinton.
12 Grandchildren: Brandon, Travess, Lawren, Mordecai, Leslie, Jaylyn, Jesse, Jasa, Alexis, Ashlin, Patrick, Tayana.
9 great grandchildren.
9 Nieces/Nephews: Dyvonne, Deidre, Donna, Querida, Latanya, Joy, Wayne, Tyrone, Gregory.
A host of Sisters/Brothers in-law, Great nieces, Great nephews, and extended family members to whom he extended his love always.
A special acknowledgement goes out to the team (Tamika, Tayana, Catherine, Tanyia and Shannon) that took care of Lawrence and wife Evelyn in their time of need. Also, to Candice, Dyvonne and Thomas for their support and help.
