Lawrence Joseph Rizzo, known affectionately as Larry by his friends and family, was called to his heavenly home on October 23, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on June 29, 1954, in the peaceful state of Delaware to Joseph and Theresa Rizzo, Larry was a man whose life was as full and rich as the melodies he coaxed from the organ he so loved to play.
Larry's early life in Delaware was marked by a strong sense of community and faith, values that would guide him throughout his days. His journey led him to the sunny shores of Port Saint Lucie, where he ultimately spent his final days. A dedicated Christian, Larry's unwavering belief in the Lord shone through in every aspect of his life, from the kindness he showed to others to the diligence with which he approached his work.
Professionally, Larry was the epitome of dedication and hard work. As an accounting office manager, he was respected for his meticulousness and integrity. His colleagues often spoke of his ability to solve even the most complex of puzzles with patience and a smile. Larry's professional life was not just a career; it was a testament to his belief in serving others with his gifts and talents. His involvement in various associations further demonstrated his commitment to his profession and his desire to uplift those around him.
Larry's love for life was evident in his hobbies and interests. An avid fisherman, he found peace and solace in the tranquil waters, a pastime that allowed him to reflect on the wonders of creation. His passion for football was matched only by the joy he found in watching classic movies, a hobby that allowed him to travel through time and experience different worlds from the comfort of his home.
Music, however, was Larry's truest companion. Playing the organ was not just a hobby for him; it was a form of worship, a way to connect with the divine. His talent was a blessing to all who heard him play, whether it was the soft hymnals during church services or the spirited melodies that filled his home during the holidays.
Larry is survived by his wife Elsa and sons Joseph, Christopher (Chris) and Andrew; Sisters: Carol Aaron, Angela Brandfon, Gloria Lynn Rizzo and TerriAnn Potts.
As we bid farewell to Larry, we celebrate a life that was a beacon of light and hope to many. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but we are comforted by the knowledge that he now rests in the eternal embrace of his Savior. We give thanks for the time we were given with Larry, for the memories we shared, and for the legacy of love and faith he leaves behind. His journey on earth may have ended, but his spirit continues to inspire us to live with the same compassion and grace that defined his life.
In his passing, due to kidney and heart failure, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the enduring strength of the human spirit. Lawrence Joseph Rizzo's story is one of unwavering faith, boundless love, and the joy of a life well-lived. As he joins the heavenly choir, we imagine him playing the organ with angels, his heart and soul in perfect harmony with the music of the spheres.
We take solace in the promise of our faith, knowing that death is not an end but a transition to a glorious new beginning. Larry's life was a testament to the belief that each day is a gift from God, and he lived every moment with gratitude and grace. May we honor his memory by embodying the virtues he held dear: kindness, integrity, and his enduring love for the Lord. We will Love You Always.
