Lawrence E. Larry Szewczyk Lawrence E. (Larry) Szewczyk of Millcreek Twp., age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Born to Stanley and Josephine (Rajewski) Szewczyk, he was a lifelong resident of Erie PA. Larry was proud to have served in the United States Navy aboard an aircraft carrier and made two Mediterranean cruises and one to the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam era. After serving his country, he worked at GE until his retirement. His hobbies always included cars, beginning with a Model A Ford, many classics and now his favorites- Corvettes!! Other hobbies included; boating, hunting, fishing, and shooting! Larry was a member of the American Legion Post #773 and Presque Isle Corvette Club of Erie. He is survived by his wife Maryanne and son Jason Szewczyk, along with his sister Mary Ann Fogle, Brother-in-law Mark Verno and many nieces, nephews, and friends! He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Donald Szewczyk. Friends may call at Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM with Service and Military Honors following. Donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 435 here in Erie, PA.

Maryanne and family,
So very sorry to learn of Larry's passing. We worked together at GE, and had many laughs over a few beers from time to time. My wife, Kim, and I had the opportunity to attend a Corvette Club party with you and Larry. Crazy fun times! You were his girl always. Very sorry for your loss.
