Lawrence Roland Thom

THOM, Lawrence Roland age 82, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2022 surrounded by family. He found his forever home with the Lord after a happy and fulfilled life. He was the beloved husband of Joann "Jo" (nee Vick). Dearest father of Fred (Tammy), Mark (Jodi) and Charley (Kim). Proud grandfather of Nichole (Eric) Thompson, Samantha (Dustin) Kosnik, Clinton (Paige), Louis (Sarah), Jennifer (Joseph) Sekula, Joshua (Shauna), the late Daniel (the late Wynter) Esper, Rachel (fiance, Jeff Jones), Monica (Jacob) Munchiando, Zack (Shelbie Qasawa) and Bailey (Tyler) Romain. Adoring great grandfather of Jolene, AdaLynn, Vivian, Peter, Julia, August, Edison, Thomas, John, Blake, Aiden, Addison, Mark, Benjamin, Luke, Jaxon, Nora, Layla and Greyson. Dear brother of John (the late Joan) Thom. Lawrence was a dedicated member of the community. He was an active member of the Washington Lions Club for 55 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time up north at Shady Acres, being with his family and Wednesday lunches with the grands. His family will always cherish and remember his ability to see the value in even the smallest thing, his insightful advice and unique opinions, his pride in his children, adornment and admiration for his grands and greats and the legacy of the handlebar mustache. Visitation Friday 2-8pm and Saturday 10:00am until time of service, 11:00am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. (Shelby Township) 54880 VanDyke at 25 Mile Rd. Interment St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Washington Lions or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church are appreciated.
