Lawrence Andrew Thomas Jr.

Lawrence Andrew Thomas Jr., fondly known as "Larry," of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 59.

Born on May 28, 1966, in Louisville, Larry was the beloved son of the late Lawrence Thomas Sr. and Georgia (Roach) Thomas. He spent his entire life in Louisville, where he built lasting friendships and created cherished memories with his family. He attended Holy Family School and graduated from Seneca High School in 1984.

Larry was a proud and devoted father and PawPaw to 4 grandkids who brought him endless joy and pride.

A true sports enthusiast, Larry was passionate about the NFL, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Raiders. He was also a dedicated Louisville Cardinals fan, rarely missing the chance to cheer on his favorite basketball and football teams. Larry's love for horse racing was unmatched, and some of his happiest days were spent at Churchill Downs.

He will be remembered for his loyalty, humor, and the way he brought people together, whether it was over a game, a race, or simply spending time with family.

Larry is survived by his mother, Georgia Thomas; his children, Samantha (Jordan) Miller and Zachary Thomas; his grandchildren, Colton (12), Hayden (8), Wyatt (5) and Elijah (2); his siblings, Donna (Kenny) Brainer, Linda (Rob) Tichy, David, and Stephen; Aunt Mary Roach, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Thomas Sr. Grandparents; Edward Farrell & Ernestine Roach, and Harry & Alvina Thomas. Larry's love for others continues beyond his lifetime, as he selflessly chose to be an organ donor.

The family will receive friends from 1-8 PM on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 16, also at the funeral home.
