It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Lea Ann Goule Spake, 61, who went to be with Jesus on September 3 at 11:05pm in Michigan, surrounded by her family.
Lea Ann was a woman of immense love, faith, and kindness. An avid traveler, a passionate teacher, and a true lover of Jesus, she touched the lives of everyone she met.
Above all, she was an incredible daughter, sister, wife, mom, and grandmother. Her warmth, laugh, and radiant smile were a beacon of joy to all who knew her.
For the past 2.5 years, those at the cancer center affectionately nicknamed her "Sunshine," a testament to her ability to bring light and positivity to even the toughest situations. She was never a complainer and always uplifted others with her spirit.
She is survived by her husband Michael Spake her children Kelby and Liz Spake, Danika and Nolan Dunlap, her grandchildren Haddie Spake and Quinton Dunlap, her mother Mary Laughlin and her brother Chandler Goule. She was preceded in death by Larry Goule, her father, and Aron Goule, her brother.
Lea Ann's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. We will miss her deeply, but we find comfort knowing she is with us in spirit every moment.
Cremation per her wishes has taken place. Also, per her wishes we will not have any formal service or official celebration of life. Instead, we ask that you honor her memory by celebrating with your family and friends over her favorite foods-Mexican cuisine, a margarita in hand, and, of course, wearing purple, her favorite color. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks for donations to either her local church, Woodside Bible- Lapeer Campus ( https://woodsidebible.org/give/) or Leader Dog, an organization dedicated to raising and training service dogs for the blind (https://www.leaderdog.org/ways-to-give/giving-options/) Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home- Columbiaville, MI To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Lea, please visit our Tree Store.
