Leah Alexis Daniels was born November 7, 1993, in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Bobby and Karen (Bethea) Daniels. She was a very happy baby and child. She was the baby girl of the family. Her older sisters Jocelyne and Janee were not initially happy about her coming into the family but as children and siblings do, they loved their little sister, Leah. She was the 3rd of 8 children.
Leah grew up mostly in Allen Texas. Although she lived in Oklahoma for a few years and traveled to Germany as a military child.
Leah's largest love of her life was her son, Roman Luke Daniels. She was so proud to be his mother. She sacrificed her life for him.
Leah was a blessing to her family in many ways she that she did not always see. We love you Leah and will miss you greatly.
Leah told me many times she wanted to study mortuary science. I asked her if she is strong enough to help people burry their children, she said, "Yes, that's part of the job." Leah was strong, outspoken woman. She did not have trouble with sharing what was on her heart and mind.
She will be greatly missed. Thank you, Father in Heaven, for lending Leah to us. I understand it was time for you to have her back. Her job on this earth is complete. Thank you, Jesus.
Leah is survived by her son Roman Luke Daniels; mother Karen J. Hoffman; siblings Jocelyne Yates, Janee Jaynes, Fred Hoffman, IV, David Hoffman, Matthew Hoffman, John Hoffman, Lauren Hoffman; uncle Chris Bethea and aunt Melvina Mency.
The family will receive friends for a visitation Friday, March 24, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options. Following the visitation at 6:00 p.m. there will be a funeral service to celebrate Leah's life. If you wish to join the service via webcast, please visit: Leah Alexis Daniels (funeralvue.com)
FROM HER MOTHER'S HEART
Where do I begin. My third daughter. My first baby girl. She had a sacrificial love for her family, and most of all her son Roman Luke. Leah was my child who loved the most like me and was the most like me. Leah in her own words from her journal, she was determined, strong and willing to work through the tough times. She enjoyed music daily at the last year of her life. She had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Her favorite bible verse, Revelations 21:4. She had a smile that lit up a room with a powerhouse personality. In her last year of life, she was so happy with the BMW she bought, she told me Mom, "I bought a BMW I have always wanted a BMW." She wanted others who loved her to share in her joy, although however short the celebration, she wanted to share it. Her spiritual discernment was proof of the personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I loved to see her pulling up to my home and always ready to go anywhere I asked. She had a strong dislike for someone being disrespectful toward her. My extremely sensitive child. For a while she cared for the disabled and did a very good job. Leah was such a significant life force. Its hard to put in words everything she was. I know I loved her from her beginning. She always kept a journal like her mother and grandmother, Josephine. It is now that I can look at what she wrote and find comfort in knowing she was praying in her last few weeks. God took my Leah back; he loaned her to me for a short 29 years. Thank you, Father, in heaven for the opportunity to be her mother. She was steadfast in what you knew was right. She understood those who were less than the least of this world. Her life was not in vain, God. I will see this beautiful spirit again; I will hold her again. I will be able to sit at Jesus feet and talk with my child. I cannot call her, text her or go see her. She left a son, who represents his mother well. She was the favorite sister of John and Lauren. For all who knew Leah, was blessed to be in her presence even at times when things became so difficult for her. She understood love through her belief that you sacrifice your own person wants, needs to support one another. She never hesitated to help her siblings.
