Leah Dudley Obituary Leah Rose Dudley, gained her angel wings on Thursday (March 6, 2025).
Leah was born on July 17, 2009 in Cambridge, Ohio. From the moment she arrived, she brought joy and light to everyone around her. Leah was diagnosed with a congenital condition called 1p36 Deletion Syndrome. Though she faced many challenges in her life, she showed us the true meaning of resilience and unconditional love. Her laughter, contagious smile, and ability to connect with others in her own unique way touched the hearts of all who met her. She was a beacon of strength and love in her family and many others that followed her journey.
Leah loved all kinds of music, toys with lights, watching Bluey, Elmo, and cuddles with her big sister Bre, Mommy, and Daddy. Leah loved to be held. She would quickly cuddle very close to you and could make all of the worries of life disappear in an instant. Through her many hospital stays, she had a way of bringing people together, with her innocent and pure heart, reminding us of the simple, beautiful things in life, and giving us all a perspective of what really matters most.
Leah was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents; her paternal great-grandparents; and her uncle, Brian Dudley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Brennan and Tiffiny (Wineman) Dudley; her big sister, Breanne Dudley; maternal great-grandmother, Marjorie Gardner; maternal grandparents, Paul and Sharon Wineman; paternal grandparents, Bud and Diana Dudley; aunt and uncle, Nancy and Rusty Milliken; uncle and aunt, Brad and Crystal Dudley; aunt and uncle, Susan and Dennis Smith; uncle, Jay Jackson; her cousins, Adrianna, Andrew, Tyler, Makayla, Arick, Lynsey, Ayden, Harley, Myah, and Ty; and many other 2nd cousins.
Leah had two special caregivers in her life, her eldest cousin Adrianna Flaitz, and Nina Brill. Both of them were so dedicated and loved Leah like their own little girl.
Her parents would like to thank Nationwide Childrens Hospital for their exceptional care over the years especially, Dr. Steven Smith from Palliative Care, Dr. Laurie Glader from Complex Care, and Kara Monin from Psychology. Akron Childrens Hospital, Southeastern Med, Doctor Doug Rush and the lab team at Medical Associates.
