With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Leah Marie Horrell, a cherished resident of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, who departed this world on January 15, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on August 23, 1977, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Leah was the beloved daughter of Eugene Barnes and Barbara Kasiah.
Leah dedicated over 20 years of her life to her work as a Dental Assistant, bringing warmth and compassion to her patients until her health no longer allowed her to continue. True to her generous spirit, Leah's impact resonated beyond her profession; she was a bright light to all who knew her.
A gentle soul who found joy in the simple pleasures, Leah adored listening to music and immersing herself in various crafts. She and her husband, Michael, shared a deep and abiding love, celebrating 25 beautiful years together filled with laughter and adventure. They cherished the moments spent at outdoor festivals and concerts, creating countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved them. Leah often reminisced about her time in Alaska, a place that held a special spot in her heart, and she always looked forward to returning someday.
Leah's legacy is carried on by her devoted mother, Barbara Kasiah; her loving husband, Michael Horrell; her cherished daughters, Haylee Vann and Hollee Horrell; her sister, Shauna Correll; her grandson, Roman Landeverde; and a multitude of friends who were drawn to her kind spirit and vibrant personality. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Barnes.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in her honor at 10 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Hart Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the extraordinary life. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in commemoration of her beautiful journey.
Though she may have departed from this world, Leah Marie Horrell will forever remain in our hearts and memories-a testament to a life filled with love, creativity, and joy.
