Leanna Wilhelmenia Whittaker, age 65, of Budd Lake, New Jersey, died on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Excelcare in Dover, New Jersey.
She was born in Denville, New Jersey to Arthur and Lottie Viola Whittaker/Puff. The eldest of two children, Leanna was raised in Hopatcong, New Jersey by her aunt and her grandmother before moving to Budd Lake, NJ in adulthood. Leanna found a passion and a talent for jewelry making and was proudly employed as a jeweler for 15 years at San Marielle Designs.
Every morning you could find Leanna drinking her morning coffee, and every evening, her tea. She enjoyed listening to music, most notably her favorite artist, Willie Nelson. Leanna was a confident and beautiful woman every day of her life and showed extreme courageousness throughout her battle with her health. She will be remembered as a strong-willed, feisty woman, and an amazing and kind grandmother who cherished her grandchildren deeply.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lottie Viola Puff and Arthur Raymond Whittaker Sr. as well as one brother, Arthur Whittaker Jr.
She is survived by her significant other Chris Key; one daughter, Debra Lee Rolfe and son in law Edward Rolfe of Newton, NJ; Two sisters, Lynn Morgan and Debra Campbell; and her Grandchildren; Sophia, Paulina, and Owen.
Inurnment will occur Monday June 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Stanhope Union Cemetery.
