She met her husband, Kelly McFarland, at a steak house in Longview, TX when they were both very young. She was a Pharmacy Tech., Bank Teller, Medical Clinic Clerk, Dental Assistant, Daycare Worker, to name a few. She always had a heart for children and volunteered several years with Community Bible Study as a Children’s Director.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Kelly McFarland; father, Frank Alford and his wife, Nancy; daughters, Misty Mendoza and husband, Paul, Mary Higgs and her husband, Nicolas, and Melissa Wiler and her husband, Bryson; son, Kyle McFarland and his wife, Meaghan; grandchildren, Tyler Mendoza and wife, Alicia, Kelsey Mendoza, Katie Story and her husband, Benji, Levi Mendoza, Luke Mendoza, Jasmine Higgs, Nick Higgs, Meagan Kizer, Colton Higgs, Greyson Wiler, Emerson Wiler, Archer McFarland, and Sawyer McFarland; great grandchild, Urijah; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
