Lebron Lee Cooper age 57 passed away January 1, 2026 at Common Spirit Hospital in Chattanooga TN. Born February 19, 1968 in Chattanooga to Larry Lebron and Carolyn Ellis Cooper, Lebron was the youngest of three children. His parents predeceased him.
Lebron was mechanically inclined and pursued career options that allowed him to apply those skills. After high school, he moved to eastern North Carolina and spent 4 years working in both the carpentry and masonry fields for Farrior & Sons and D.J. Rose & Sons General Contracting companies. He later returned to the Chattanooga area and completed training at Walker Technical Institute in 1994 to become a commercial truck driver. He worked as a long haul driver for Covenant Transport and later Kennesaw Express. While at Covenant, Lebron earned awards for safe driving and customer commendations for excellence. He completed additional training for Hazardous Materials and was promoted to a dispatcher position with Covenant, a job which allowed him to use his strong people and problem solving skills. It also afforded him more time at home with his family which was important to Lebron.
Lebron was married to Karen Hall September 13, 2003 in Gatlinburg, TN. He was instrumental in raising Karen's five girls who he loved as his own. The girls share special memories of their time growing up with Lebron in their lives and the life skills that he taught them.
Lebron was a gentle and kind hearted giant of a man who loved his family and his pets. He liked fixing things and helping others including his parents and grandparents during some of the tough times in their lives. One of Lebron's favorite pastimes was fishing. He treasured the special times that he spent fishing with his Dad, his Mother, and his family. In the last years of his life, Lebron spent many hours listening to Christian sermons and music and reading his Bible. His favorite Bible passage was Psalm 86 and his favorite hymn, God Moves in a Mysterious Way by William Cowper.
Lebron is survived by his wife Karen, his step-children Arica (Ethan) Putnam, Robyn Hall, Brandi Hall, Victoria Cooper, and Savannah Cooper, his sisters Anita (Scott) Wright and Susan Sinclair, stepbrothers Rick (Rene) Lafolette and Billy (Mitzi) Lafolette, aunt Wanda Garrett, and uncle Tim Ellis (Kathy).
