In Memoriam: Lee Henry Granger
Lee Granger, 64, of Camden, New Jersey, born on June 11, 1961, in Richmond, Virginia, passed away on July 3, 2025. Known for his funny and creative spirit, Lee was a talented handyman and a reliable friend to all who knew him. His love for cooking, cleaning, and playing video games was only surpassed by his passion for bike riding and watching movies. Lee was a proud graduate of Job Corps, where he learned various trades, including welding and roofing, showcasing his dedication and hardworking nature.
Lee's life was characterized by his deep love for his family, cars, and music. Lee is survived by his loving sons, Lindsey and Branden Stephens; his caring daughter, Dorise Stephens; his brothers Elick Morton, James Granger, and Kevin Granger; his cherished grandchildren, Divine Hunt, Melody Stephens, Christopher Woods Jr, Victoria Stephens, Ezekiel Stephens, and Zachariah Stephens; his daughter-in-law, Ishanna Rodriguez-Stephens; and his granddaughter-in-law, Aniyah Poole, and grandson-in-law, Michael Knox; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Granger and Kathleen Morton, his sister, Judie Jackson, and the love of his life, Robin Stephens.
"A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of birth." (Ecclesiastes 7:1). This verse encapsulates Lee's life, as he was a man of good name, respected and loved by all who knew him. A viewing will be held for Lee at the Macedonia Baptist Church, located at 351 High Street, Westville, New Jersey, 08093, on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. His homegoing service will follow at 10:30 a.m.
