Lee H. Hill, Jr. was born on February 7, 1948, in Lanett, Alabama. He passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication.

Lee dedicated 32 years of his life to General Motors, where he worked tirelessly in machine repair, a testament to his remarkable skills and dedication. Following his retirement, he pursued a new path by attending Hondros College in Beavercreek to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. His commitment to service and care for others was evident in everything he did.

A proud U.S. Army veteran Lee was stationed in Germany and fought in the Vietnam War. Lee embodied a spirit of resilience and pride in his country. He was a fun-loving individual with a great sense of humor, known for his clever wit and intelligence. He was always a joy to be around, possessed the remarkable ability to fix anything, and excelled at mathematics, showcasing both his practical and analytical skills. You could always count on him in your time of need. 

Lee graduated from Nettie Lee Roth High School as part of the Class of 1967. His love for learning never faded, and he embraced further education with enthusiasm in his later years.

In his leisure time, Lee found great joy in playing golf, following the Cleveland Browns, and cherishing moments with his family. 

Lee was preceded in death by his father, Lee H. Hill, Sr.; his mother, Chinnie E. Hill; his brothers, David L. Hill and James E. Hill; and his son-in-law, Duane Burke, Sr. 

He was deeply loved by his dearly devoted friend, Robin L. Hill. Lee was a devoted father to his daughters, Dana M. Sims and Shannon N. Burke, and an adoring grandfather to, Vincent, Devane', Jacquan, Jachelle, Nia, Stanley, Duane Jr., Janiah, and Jasmine, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. He was also survived by his beloved siblings, Walter L. Hill, Mary W. (Robert) Moore, Jerry L. (Felicia) Hill, Shirley A. (Gregory) Reid, Hubert H. Hill, and Terry A. Hill., and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lee H. Hill, Jr. will be remembered for his contributions to those he served, his unwavering support for his family, and the joy he brought into the lives of everyone he met. His memory will forever endure in the hearts of his loved ones and the many lives he touched throughout his extraordinary journey.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 11:30am-12:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. The service will follow at 12:30pm. Lee will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton.
