Lee E. Punt, 58, a lifelong resident of Keene, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on January, 6, 2024, after a brief period of declining health.
He was born the son to the late Beverly M. (Blanchard) and Lloyd R. Punt Jr. on July 2, 1965, in Keene.
Lee was educated locally, attending Wheelock School, Keene Junior High School, and Keene High School.
Lee was employed by Keene Monument as one of their head stone installers.
Lee played in the Keene Youth Hockey League, Keene Men's Hockey League, and he played softball for Summers Sports of the Keene Men's Softball League. Lee enjoyed many different hobbies such as, sports, especially watching the Boston Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. He was always fascinated with wolves and their history.
Mr. Punt is survived by his godmother Jeannine M., his uncle Amos M. Blanchard Jr. and his wife Marilyn of York, ME, his aunts Gertrude Bruder and her husband Timothy of Mesa, AZ, Joyce Blanchard of Mesa, AZ, Nancy Blanchard of Brattleboro, VT, and Donna Kujawa and her husband Bill of Manchester, NH. Along with many other extended family members, friends and his Colby Street neighbors. Lee is now at rest with his uncle and godfather Francis E. (Dutchie) Punt.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 21st at 10:00am at the Cheshire Funeral Home Chapel, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. A burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery in Keene. Although flowers will gladly be accepted, donations may be made out to the Monadnock Family Services, 64 Main St. Keene, NH. 03431. All services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel and Crematories, 44 Maple Ave Keene, NH.03431. www.cheshirefamilyfh.com.
