Lee Walter, 82 Born January 6, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to NYC, then to East Hampton before arriving in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2002.
Lee worked in Broadway productions in NYC with the legendary impresario Sol Hurok and was in the classical music industry for over 40 years producing concerts at Carnegie Hall in NY.
Lee loved the symphony, musicals, gardening, cooking, traveling and entertaining. He had a large social circle and was extremely outgoing and fiercely independent.
He met Hans Kline (painter) and enjoyed living in the artist community before meeting Hector Martinez March 17, 1999. Lee and Hector had a civil union in Broward County on December 31, 2003 and were married September 24, 2013. Hector Martinez died on July 19, 2020.
Lee is survived by his brother Chuck Walter (wife, Darla) two nephews Kevin Walter (wife Valerie), and Daniel Walter (wife Jennifer) and niece Cathy Linard (husband Mike).
His late sister, Joanne Kuehn 1932-2015, late husband Ray deceased, three children, Raymond Kuehn (wife Lisa is deceased) William Kuehn (wife Donna), Jeffery Keuhn. Daughter-in-law Laura Martinez Daly (husband Jim), Son-in-law Andrew Martinez.
Lee's final resting place will be Green River Cemetery in the Town of East Hampton, New York.
