Lehman E. Davis of Cherokee County passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2025 at the age of 87 having been in the care of Hospice for seven weeks. He was born July 28, 1938 to Frank and Jessie Spiva Davis in Union County, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Myrna Hassler Davis; their two children and spouses , Ira and Patty Pendley Davis - children Chandler, Connor and Carson, Brandon and Heather Davis McCoy - children Georgia (Ryan), Alexia (Justin), Tess (Joshua), Autumn, Violet, Chase, Emily (Bobby); and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Paulette Hill (Gary).

He served in the Air Force Reserves as an aircraft mechanic, transferred to Georgia Air National Guard and worked for them as an equip tech for 6 years. His life career was in the automotive field as a trained mechanic, automotive school teacher, service manager and part owner of a dealership. He and his wife owned and operated with their children an alternator/starter rebuild shop for the remaining 35 years of his career. His hobby was buying, working on and selling old, unusual antique cars and tractors. He also enjoyed going on trips and seeing the country. He was a hard worker, caring husband and father, and will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Davis and Benny Erwin.
