Leigh Anne Rush

Leigh Anne Rich Rush, 69, of Jamestown, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Leigh was born July 24, 1956 in Greensboro, NC and was the daughter to the late Jean Louise Jones Covington and Carl Reid Rich. Leigh was also preceded in death by her son, Stewart Brantley Rush.

Leigh was a graduate of UNC Greensboro. She worked for her father's company, assembling leather checkbook covers over the years while also having the ability to spend time with her children as they grew. She was the heart of the family, hosting Christmas and birthday celebrations for her parents, four sisters and their families. Leigh was always smiling and made others smile as well, made friends everywhere she went, and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She also enjoyed working out, visiting wineries, and relaxing at Belews Lake.

Friends and family describe Leigh as nurturing, sweet, welcoming, joyful, selfless, kindhearted, loving, happy and smiling, kind, fun, rock solid, endearing, sparkly and bling, unconditionally compassionate, considerate, gregarious, altruistic, charismatic, funny, bubbly, cheerful, lively, caring, hardworking, supportive, thoughtful, adorable, giving, extraordinary, irreplaceable, warmhearted, easy going, angelic, genuine, beautiful on the inside and outside, loyal, truly amazing, loved family, life of the party, a gold-hearted inspiration, a beautiful soul, and a bestie to many.

Leigh is survived by her beloved, Richard Glover, daughter and son-in-law, Jordan and Brad Beck, and grandchildren, Owen Rush, Connor Rush, and Aubrey Beck. She was loved by all her family and will be dearly missed.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
