Lela B. Sullivan, 95, of Hydetown, passed away Monday afternoon January 5, 2026 at Southwoods Assisted Living Community.

Lela was born on January 7, 1930 in Grand Valley, PA, a daughter of the late Linford and Clara Wheelock Beers. She was married to John H. Sullivan on November 16, 1961 in Hydetown. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1995.

Lela had worked for the US Postal Service from 1974 until her retirement as postmaster in 1992. She had also been the Officer In Charge (OIC) at the Pleasantville and Townville post offices.

She was a member of the Hydetown Methodist Church; a member and treasurer of the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Dept.; and a member of the Hydetown Civic Association. She was also a charter member and weekly host of the Wino Wednesday a tradition that has existed for 15 years.

She is survived by her children; Amy Nicols and husband Bruce of Titusville, and Frank Sullivan of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Jillian Elder and husband Daniel of Cochranton and Madalyn Nicols and companion Derek Linnes of Titusville; twin great grandchildren, Nelson and Kendall Elder; close friends, Nancy Burns and David Stearns; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Floyd, William, Charles and Guy Beers; and a sister, Betty Beers.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Michael Holley of Clarks Mills Community Church, officiating. A live stream of the funeral can be viewed in the box below at the time of the service.

Interment will be in East Troy Cemetery.
