LINCOLN

Lena "Red" M. (Beaugrand) Asselin, 95, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the wife of the late Leonel Asselin.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Edith (Axon) Beaugrand. She resided in Lincoln for most of her life.

Mrs. Asselin was employed as a Bookkeeper for the Standard Nut and Bolt Company in Cumberland, and previously the Town of Lincoln.

"Red" enjoyed shopping, arts and crafts, Walt Disney World, jigsaw puzzles, her beloved "Westies", but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves her two children, Christine M. Szymanski and her husband Michael of Lincoln and John L. Asselin and his wife Diane of Lincoln; her four grandchildren, John Asselin, Anne Haskins, Lynne Asselin, and Stephen Szymanski; her four great-grandchildren, Finn, Archer, Oren, and James; as well several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Beaugrand.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Lena's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 9 AM to 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Holiday Retirement Home, Activities Fund, 30 Sayles Hill Road, Manville, RI 02838 or to Beacon Hopice, 1 Catamore Blvd. East Providence, RI 02914.
