Lena M. Palmer, 79 of Kokomo went to be with our Lord at 6:45PM, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at IU Tipton after a short illness. She was born March 25, 1936 in Luttrell, TN. to Clarence and Louise (Brewer) Paul. She married Roy E. Palmer June 8th, 1970 in Virginia. He took wonderful care of her as her health declined.
Lena graduated from Kokomo High School and retired from General Motors
Lena is survived by her husband, along with children Terry (Joe) Jonaitis, Fairbanks, AK., Julia (Dan) Carey, Alexandria, IN., Tracy (Rocky) Rogers, Lowndes, MO., Jill (John) Pluckebaum, Traverse City, MI., Paul Palmer, Tamarac, FL., sister, Jean Kilgore (Don Barton), brother, Earl (Rachel) Paul, brothers in law, William (Pam) Palmer, Chet (Donna) Palmer, grandchildren, Troy and Todd Smith, Andrea Frese, Joey and Patrick Jonaitis, Kerry Hanley, Jack Fivecoate, Paula Dampier, Melissa Hartman, Derek Graver and Lance Hillman, and several great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Annette Matney, grandchildren, Lena Hall and Jeremy Hall.
The Funeral Service for Lena will be Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 2PM at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Lynn Brust officiating. The family will offer visiting hours from 12-2PM prior to the service.
