Lena Pearl Moore Gilmore, age 100, of Crockett passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Houston County Nursing Home. Lena was born January 14, 1924 in Liberty Hill to parents, Johnnie Moore and Carrie Kellum Moore. She attended Old Glover School and worked for Schlumberger for 24 years, then worked for American Can for 15 years before retirement. Lena was a member of the Park Temple Baptist Church in Pasadena.
Lena is survived by step-daughter, Connie Adams and husband, Rick of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jeff Wilson and wife, Trish of La Porte, Jennifer Isbell and husband, Mike of Pasadena, Sheila Carpenter of Idaho, Dustin Adams and wife, Codie of Cleveland, Bo Adams and wife, Devon of Tarkington, Chase Adams and wife, Shelby of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Blaine Wilson and wife, Megan of Pearland, Samuel Wilson of La Porte, Lindsey McDaniel and husband, Jared of Crosby, Katelyn Isbell of Pasadena; great-great-grandchildren, Carter, Maddie, Avery, Briggs, Hagen, Dalton, Emma, Harper June, Harper Lynn, Cody, and River; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Johnnie and Carrie Moore; husbands, Marvin Gilmore, Odell Wilson, David Foster; children, Donald Ray Wilson, Jr. Wilson, Judy Wilson; brothers and sisters, Mildred Ivie, Samuel Edgar Moore, Jewel McGaughey; grandson, Cody Adams.
Funeral services for Lena Pearl Moore Gilmore will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Bobbitt Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
