Memorial services for Lena Marie Twinn, 57, of Mandan, North Dakota; formerly of Ft. Yates, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Ft. Yates, North Dakota. A wake service will begin at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Church. Inurnment will be at the Tree Top Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.
Lena Marie Twinn aka "Beansy" was born in 1966 to Virginia and Sylvester Twinn. She was the youngest of 3, Alan and Calvin Twinn were her brothers.
She grew up and spent most of her life in Fort Yates where she graduated high school in 1984. In 1989 she met John Agard and started a lifelong journey together. Then in 1992 she graduated from Interstate business college. She worked for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe as well as the public school for some years.
Lena enjoyed her life with her family and grandkids. She loved to visit and laugh. Always cracking jokes with everyone. She also had a big heart, her door was always open to those in need.
Lena is survived by her daughters Tia, Melanie and Jahni. Her fur baby Tux. Aunts Lila Brought Plenty, Loretta Wright, and Rita Loon. Uncle Kenny "Pheasant Eyes" Tree Top. Grandchildren: Talena, Tay'Vlyn, Heavenly, Kaleb, Brandonlee, Phoenix, Naveah, Anahliyah, Javery, Jazibelle, Honeybear, Raynyka and many more.
Lena is proceeded in death by her father and mother Sylvester and Virginia (Tree Top) Twinn. Brothers Alan and Calvin Twinn. And her Forever partner John Agard. As well as many aunts and uncles.
