Leneda Darnell (Marshall) Butler of Lakeland, Florida entered into the presence of the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2023 at George C. Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale, Florida surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old. Mrs. Butler was born March 12th, 1945 in Auburndale, Florida to Edward Eugene "Gene" Marshall and Helen Louise (Waters) Marshall. Leneda worked for the Polk County School Board as a school bus driver for nine years, was a truck driver for B.C. Cook and & Sons and worked in the bakery department with Publix before retiring. She graduated Auburndale High School Class of 1963 where she enjoyed cheerleading and was even Miss Auburndale. Leneda loved waterskiing, babies, animals of all kinds and enjoyed the beach and every moment with her family. She a member of Lake Shipp Baptist Church where she loved working in the nursey. Leneda was proceeded in death by her parents and is survived by her daughter Allison Waldron, husband Carl of Auburndale, Florida; son Joe Butler wife, Stephanie of Lakeland, Florida, sister Suzonne Marshall, husband Buck Barnhill of Auburndale, Florida,and brother Edward Marshall wife Brenda of Auburndale, Florida, and five amazing grandchildren, Michaela, Delaney, Kinley, Hunter and Parker who she absolutely adored. The family will receive visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 followed by a service at 11:00 at Kersey Funeral Home September 21st, 2023. In lieu of flowers a donation to Good Shepherd Hospice Auburndale or the SPCA can be made in her memory.
