Lennie Ray Rose, 85, of Wabash, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was born on March 19, 1940, in Marie, Arkansas, to Clarence "Red" and Lola (Kuykendall) Rose.
Lennie married Caroline Louise Kuffel in Wabash on January 27, 1961. Lennie had a career as a core maker, welder, and metal fabricator. He retired from Trelleborg, Peru, Indiana. Lennie enjoyed working on cars, card games, hunting, inventing, fishing, mushroom hunting, old westerns, traveling, working on puzzles, and spending time with family. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League and attended the Treaty Church of Christ.
He is survived by Wife, Caroline Rose of Wabash, five children; Rocky Henemyer of Thurmont, Maryland, Roxane Henemyer and Rosalind (Matthew) Yeiter both of Warsaw, Indiana, Paula (Bob) Enyeart of LaFontaine, Indiana, and Diana (Kevin) Lee of Cascade, Montana, 12 grandchildren; Tara (John) Long of Satellite Beach, Florida, Rachael (Kyle) Stackhouse of Plymouth, Indiana, Andrea Henemyer of Beach Grove, Indiana, Jennifer (Alec) Burchard of Claypool, Indiana, Melissa Henemyer of Thurmont, Maryland, Rob (Kayci) Enyeart of Ossian, Indiana, Matthew Henemyer of Hagerstown, Maryland, Tyler (Sherelee) Owens of Casper, Wyoming, Travis Owens of Great Falls, Montana, Trey (Jessi) Owens of Butte, Montana, Kayden Lee of Billings, Montana, and Sydnee (Connor) O'Leary of Roundup, Montana, 19 great-grandchildren, sister, Dorothy Kerr and sister-in-law, Sue Rose both of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Janette, Jane, Mary Christine and brothers James, Gene, William, Jerry Lee, twin brother Lonnie, and another set of infant twins.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 20, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Ryan Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Wabash County Cancer Society, and Lennie was a proud lifelong blood donor, in his remembrance, we'd encourage donating blood.
