Troy Steven Miller, 54, of Noblesville, Indiana, died at 8:42 pm, Sunday, October 5, 2025, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on July 28, 1971, in Winamac, Indiana, to Charles G. and Judith Ann (Miller) Miller.
Troy was a 1990 graduate of Northfield High School. He worked at CMI in Wabash as a health and safety environmental specialist, and also worked for British Standards Institute as an environmental standards auditor. Troy's passion was sports; he was a freshman basketball coach, assistant varsity football coach, and assistant varsity baseball coach, where he was part of the 2012 State Championship team, (all at his alma mater, Northfield High School), he enjoyed golfing, was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, where he was a longtime season ticket holder, and was a Purdue fan due to his son, Gage. Faith was a big part of Troy's life, and he highly valued family, friends, and his community. Although Troy was a quiet person, he didn't know a stranger, and genuinely cared for others.
He is survived by two children; Gage Miller of Chicago, Illinois, and Alia Miller of Noblesville, girlfriend, Molly Vanderpool of Richmond, Indiana, and her children; Allie, Timothy, and Abigail Vanderpool, brother, Tim (Lisa) Miller of Florida, nieces and nephews; Katelynne, Kristen, Jake, and Zachary Miller, and aunt and uncle, Jay (Sandie) Miller, and their sons; Ryan and Michael Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife Jennifer (Moreland) Miller, his parents, and brother Todd Miller.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, October 10, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Diener officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the family to help Troy's children with expenses.
