Betty Sue Alexander, 87, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:00 pm, Sunday, July 27, 2025, at The Waters of Wabash East. She was born on May 29, 1938, in Logan, West Virginia, to Millard and Juanita (Burgess) Webb.
Betty worked as a CNA at Vernon Manor Children's Home and Community Care Center, both in Wabash. She also spent time working at the Highway Cafe, the Shirt Shed, and also Magnetics, all in Wabash. Betty was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church in Wabash. She was a homebody and loved her dogs. Betty enjoyed knitting, watching WWE wrestling, and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
She is survived by three daughters; Lora Alexander of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Daughter, Deb (Mike) Dyson of North Manchester, Indiana, and Teresa (Nathan) Wood of Wabash, eight grandchildren; Eric (Amanda) Burton and Nicholas (Brittany) Burton both of Hendersonville, Kyle (Hilary) Evans and Travis (Kate) Dyson both of Roann, Indiana, Derrick (Tara) Bland of Madison, Tennessee, Kayla Fuller of Wabash, Hannah (Evan) Webb of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Noah Strickler of Wabash, 16 great-grandchildren; Ethan, Natasha, Franco, Rylan, Nolan, Adalynn, Eli, Easton, Savannah, Sophia, Kane, Cameron, Cori, Abigayl, Deaton, and Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Mark Allen Strickler, two brothers, Dallas Webb and a stillborn infant, and granddaughter, Cherish Lynette Burton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Southside Free Will Baptist Church.
