Lennis Conduff, age 81, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024. She was born February 20, 1943 to the late Dawson and Mary Young.
Lennis and the love of her life, Malcolm, loved their mountain home, family, and their cats. She always put everyone else before herself, regardless of how she felt or what was going on in her own life. She was an amazing cook and baker which was a way she showed her love for others. Lennis also liked canning, above all her homegrown tomatoes. She was known for her colorful tennis shoes that matched her outfits and she especially liked the color red. She enjoyed flea markets and was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia. Lennis loved to pull practical jokes on her family and kept everyone on their toes. She was an artist who loved to paint and made all sorts of crafts which she liked to personalize for loved ones. She was heavily involved in genealogy and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 62 years, Malcolm Conduff; sons, Danny Conduff and wife Bobbie Jo, and Gary Conduff and wife Leanndra; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; several cousins and many dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00. The graveside service and burial will follow the funeral at Baker’s Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Rescue Dog and End of Life Sanctuary or the Johnson County Animal Shelter.
