Lenore Abrams, a longtime area resident of Monroe Township, passed away at age 95 on July 22nd, 2025. She most recently lived at Springhills Acute Care in Princeton, NJ for the last 3 years where she was taken care of until her final days. She died peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loving family.

Lenore and her husband George, moved to New Jersey in 1978 where they would live for the next 40+ years. George passed away in 2013.

Lenore was born in Brooklyn, NY where she met George as a young 12 year old girl. She kept her eye on him as they remained friends until he asked her out at age 15. George joined the Maritime Service in 1946 and married Lenore before he left for service. They got married in 1948 by the justice of the peace in April 1948, and then again in September 1948 in a traditional wedding when he returned from serving in the Merchant Marines.

They settled down in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn in a small brick 2-bedroom home. They had three children, Mark Steven, Bruce Robert and Nancy Robin. Mark and Bruce both passed away at age 55.

Lenore leaves behind her daughter, Nancy Robin; her granddaughter, Jen Michelle with her husband Dan Paul; her grandson, Bryan Anthony with his wife, Emily Dara with their two children, Ella Rey and Miles Martin; and her daughter-in-law, Toni Quest.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 9:45 am, at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick, NJ. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
