James Leo McCall, of Greenville, husband of Nadine McCall, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, at the age of 58.
Born in Pickens, SC, he was the son of the late Jimmy and Hazel Whitmire McCall.
Leo was a loyal son and a cherished member of his family. His family remembers him as an enthusiastic supporter and a source of endless joy. Known for his contagious laughter and playful spirit, Leo often delighted in making those around him smile. His love for his family, especially his children and grandson, knew no bounds.
An active member of Bethany Baptist Church in Travelers Rest, Leo lived his life with unwavering faith and a deep love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His kindness extended beyond his family; he was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, embodying the true spirit of community and fellowship.
In addition to his generous heart, Leo enjoyed the thrill of camping and fishing, often finding solace in nature's beauty. His adventurous spirit will surely be missed but fondly remembered by all who shared those moments with him.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lea Wuest-Johnson (Will); sons, James McCall, Jonathan McCall (Mikayla), and Jesse McCall; grandson, Colt Johnson; sisters, Pauline "Polly" Lindsey and Doris Sawyer; brothers, Jimmy McCall, Jr., and Edward Timothy McCall; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edgar Thomas Lamb and Michael Eugene Lamb.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Bethany Baptist Church in Travelers Rest, with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends are encouraged to come to Leo's home following the service on Tuesday.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. Leo will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, joy, and faith will continue to inspire us all.
