Leo Patrick Reagan, fondly known as Pat, passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 96 in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on September 5, 1929, in Mantey, Kansas, Pat graced this world with his infectious presence for 96 remarkable years.
Pat had a long-lasting career at Armco Steel, where he dedicated himself with professionalism and pride. His commitment extended beyond his professional life; he served honorably in the Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean conflict, spending significant time in Germany. Shortly after his return, he met a beautiful young lady named Alice. After three short months together, he asked to make her his bride so she could return to Kansas City with him. A few years after their marriage, they settled in the quaint town of Buckner, Missouri, where they would settle down and raise their family. Their home in Buckner was affectionately referred to by Pat as "the little village in the valley". During their time in Buckner, he and Alice played a pivotal role in establishing the Church of Santa Fe Parish in Buckner, a testament to their commitment to their faith and community. Pat was known for his ever-present smile and quick wit. He had an admirable ability to bring laughter and light to any gathering. He was a devoted friend and family man, always ready to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. For Pat, the most cherished moments were spent with loved ones. Pat was an avid fisherman. His passion for the outdoors also extended to hunting, further reflecting his love for life and adventure.
Pat's passing is preceded by his parents, Frank and Alma Reagan; his son, Michael Lee Reagan; and his siblings, Mary Frances White and Dan Reagan. His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his beloved wife of 71 unforgettable years, Alice Reagan; their children, Patricia McCollum (Paul) and Charles Reagan; his grandchildren, Brendon Yeager, Eric McCollum, and Heather Cook; and his great-grandson, Mason Cook.
A memorial service will be held at Buckner Speaks Chapel on Saturday, November 15th, at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hospice House of Kansas City.
