Leon Bennett Casey, 80, of
Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026. He was born on March 15, 1945, in Ratliff, Arkansas, to Arthur and Gerty Casey.
Leon was raised in Magazine, Arkansas, where he developed a strong work ethic and deep roots in the farming community. He owned and operated a local feed store until 1981 and was well known in the area for cutting and baling hay. In 1984, he sold the feed store and relocated to Midwest City, Oklahoma, where he began a new chapter in the construction industry, leading a house framing crew of 9 to 10 men throughout the mid to late 1980s.
Following a move to Oklahoma City after his divorce in 1986, Leon met the love of his life, Belita Ward. The two were married on January 3, 1994, in
Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and shared 21 devoted years of marriage until Belita's passing in 2015.
Drawing on his earlier experience helping his uncle in the pest control business during the 1970s and 1980s, and with Belita's knowledge of the trade as well, the couple founded Casey's Pest Control. Leon proudly operated the business until his retirement in 2017.
Even in retirement, Leon remained active - working his cattle, enjoying the outdoors, and spending quality time with great grandsons, Leighton and Ledger Casey and his loyal dog, Daisy. He treasured cookouts and fishing trips with his dear friends Jim and Lora Webster and shared a close bond with Bro. Steve Pope and friends Jeremy and Brandi Cox.
Leon will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a hardworking and successful businessman, and a true cattleman at heart. He built a life centered around loyalty, friendship, and love for the land. His home was always filled with family, laughter, and the warmth of community. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, perseverance, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Leon is survived by his Son, Shannon Casey of
Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Tyler Casey and wife Cheyenne of
Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Chris Krog and wife Nikki of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jaycee Brunkin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Austin Casey of Oklahoma, Ryan Casey of Moore, Oklahoma; Great Grandchildren, Leighton and Ledger Casey, Trinity, Talan, Tristin Krog; Great-Great Grandchildren, Opal and Arlo; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and many many friends.
