Leon Lee Sterling Sr.

Leon Lee Sterling, Sr. affectionately known as Sah the Incredible, was born and raised in Plainfield, NJ where he graduated from Plainfield High School. Over the years, he worked a variety of jobs, including at Pepsi Cola and installing vinyl fencing with his brother Jimmy. He was also a certified electrician and took great pride in working for Hilltop, a business owned by his cousin and brother in spirit, Mark. Leon was truly a jack of all trades, with countless skills and talents. He excelled as a gymnast and proudly participated in parades to showcase his abilities. His sense of humor was infectious, and he loved to dance and tell jokes, often making himself laugh in the process.
Leon had a deep love for the Lord and frequently expressed his affection for all his children, often wishing he could have spent more time with them. He was also passionate about cooking, especially his signature dishes like chicken and rice, cheesesteaks, and butter beans. Nothing made him happier than seeing the joy on people's faces as they enjoyed his food. Generous to a fault, Leon was the kind of person who would literally give someone the shirt off his back. He was always willing to help those in need, whether it was the homeless or anyone else who crossed his path.
Leon is predeceased by his son Michael Sterling; his parents James and Carrie Sterling; one sister Mona Mildred Sterling; brother Rodney Sterling and his niece Tashema Sterling.
He leaves to cherish his memory three sons Jaquan L Sterling, Leon L. Sterling, Jr. and Isiah Sterling; one daughter Sabreea T. Sterling and a bonus daughter Tyeshia Brown; two grandchildren; two sisters Annemarie Sterling and Tanisha Washington; two brothers James (Lavern) and Anthony Sterling; a bonus brother Mark Parker and his fiance' Shelly Threatt. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Leon's parting words at the end of every conversation were always, "I LOVE YOU." His warmth, generosity, and love for life will be deeply missed.
