Leona I. (LeBlanc) Chatigny, 91, of Westminster, died peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in her home with her family by her side.

Born in Fitchburg on August 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Alice (Chamberlain) LeBlanc. She graduated from St. Bernard’s Catholic High School with the Class of 1951. Leona was employed by Digital Equipment Corporation of Westminster for more than seventeen years, holding various job titles, before retiring as a manager. 

Leona was a woman of many passions. She was an avid reader, always eager to delve into a new book and expand her knowledge. Her love for traveling took her to many places, whether she was on the back of her husband's motorcycle or a her countless trips to various places, and she always had a story to share from her adventures. These passions, along with her love for her family, defined her life. 

She leaves her husband of 69 years, Raymond E. Chatigny of Westminster; her children, Donna Muller and her husband Robert Jr. of Fairfield, CT, Scott Chatigny and his wife Jodie of Westminster, Shelley Burgess of Fitchburg; six grandchildren Matthew Burdulis and his wife Maura of Holden, Arielle Burdulis of Colorado Springs, CO, Tyler Chatigny and his wife MacKenzie of Westminster, Michael Chatigny of Brighton, Chloe Chatigny of Newport, RI, Hayden Chatigny of Westminster; two sisters Grace Reynolds and her husband Edward of Ashby, Jane Abrams of Fitchburg; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Ann Chatigny; two brothers, Robert and Arthur LeBlanc; and two sisters, Beatrice Regan, and Yvonne Rivers. 

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
